Blinded by the light, enlightened by the LORD

The work and story of a visually impaired artist

“Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

2 Corinthians 12:9 King James Bible

The Great Tempest

Though the storm rages, though the waves may beat on the side of my ship, I know God remains in control in the midst of "The Great Tempest"

“Swanton artist doesn’t let blindness cloud his vision“

This is a story that was done by the local news featuring yours truly. It was such an honor to have this minute(and a half) of fame and I owe it all to my college friend Heather who is the best meteorologist that 13abc could have!

Pricing

Original Paintings

$1 per square inch

In order to make pricing fair and easier to calculate and after much consideration, I have chosen to charge by size of painting. This does not always mean a longer process, but if can. Utilizing this method of calculation more efficiently finance the price of materials used in each painting.

Prices vary

In light of my prior experience, I have chosen to break down pricing for commission work into branches of complexity. Prices begin at the base ($1 per square inch) and increase at different intervals of complexity.

For example: A basic landscape painting would be priced at the base cost. A painting of a more complex landscape, with buildings, animals, or some other subject included, would run at a slightly higher rate (on a case by case basis). If you were to want something more in the range of portraiture, you are looking at something like double the base cost as it is less enjoyable and thus more work for me.
